Part-time or Full-time Assistant Teacher
We are hiring one or more Assistant Teachers to join our friendly staff. Our business hours are 7:45-
5:15, Monday through Friday. As a part-time or a substitute, you would be working 16 to 40 hours
per week, most likely in two of our three classrooms.
Montessori Children’s House is a privately owned Preschool in Bozeman, MT., located very close to
MSU, with 3 age-separated classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 3½ years. You would be
working with the lead-teacher and usually one other teacher assistant in the classroom.
Our sunlit classrooms, equipped with Montessori material, the generous outdoor space as well as
our cooperative teacher teams and the supportive administration make Montessori Children’s House
a great place to work.
Qualifications:

• A friendly nature, patience and love for young children
• Experience caring for young children is a plus

• Flexible and open-minded
• Enjoy working in a child care team
• Knowledge of the Montessori Method preferred
• Knowledge of or willing to learn best practices as well as the ability to engage with young children and earn

their trust

• Communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow preschool

teachers, and parents or guardians

• Must pass a background check
• CPR/First Aid Certification required. (Paid for by the school)

Assisting in:

• Maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children.
• Performing creative and educational activities
• Preparing and feeding bottles, snacks, and lunches
• Maintaining a clean environment for small children
• Demonstrating a compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
